Good vs. Bad
“… Duality is self perpetuating. It feeds only on itself. That’s why the battle has been raging since the dawn of time. There is no winner.”
This sentence is only a part from the TV Series “Charmed” (1998–2006, s7e7) is great, but it was used in the context of how to persuade a person into a different belief system. Wider discussion between Leo “Whitelighter” and Alpha “Avatar” is about “Good” and “Evil”, about ever-lasting fights between Angels and Demons, etc.
I don’t believe in God or gods, and other celestial (supernatural) beings (which doesn’t stop me from watching fictional movies about it :D ). But I don’t need to get into details of all the structure and context of that discussion to understand much bigger picture than fictional action on screen. 8)
I think that conflicts and having both good and evil parts of ourselves in life on the planet Earth is what makes us human and like it or not there is no other way. Pain, death, suffering, negative emotions are essentials in this world, SAME WAY as life, happiness, harmony, positive thinking… Despite the fact idealism offers some kind of universal approach, like the “utopia” (without “Good” and without “Bad”) suggested by Avatars in real life it is simply NOT possible.

Re-watching this series in 2024 I realized a bit of a different pattern here, much narrower than Good and Evil.
It is very sad, that “natural imbalance” sometimes is so crazy in human minds, that it causes wars between people.
Let’s represent “Good” by the right wing of political visions, and “Evil” by the left wing. Both are NECESSARY things in nowadays life on the planet Earth. We can’t get rid of neither far-right or far-left wings. But because different people have different opinions, and different LEVELS of belief in one wing or another, it is INEVITABLE for all these wings to exist in modern political life (although I would personally like to get rid of far-left and far-right wings). And so far it’s normal for people to believe and follow different politicians from one or another political wings. Problem becomes a visible threat for humans life when political movement is being radicalised.
Now, imagine someone else offers you a universal approach — when ONLY one political party (one political world overview) will rule. That one power will force people to behave this way or another. That power will control people’s behavior to the level when killing people would be treated as necessary tool, when people don’t agree with such a controlling ruling.
Do you recognise someone here? Right?

Same way as Avatars in “Charmed” any approach which will try to control all human beings will fail, SOONER OR LATER — p00t&n as a well known control freak will lose!
